English Elocution Contest

YUP!i participated English Elocution Contest AGAIN this year
this is my 3rd time...

Flashback:
Entered the final round on 5/3.quite suprised!
cuz i jz memorised the script one night b4.just a paragraph
v my past experiences and a lot of help from wynne lp,
I SUCCEEDED!!!
Queenie and Mun Kit both the newbies succeeded too
YEAH!5S Zhong ROCKS!

Today:
The final round day has finally reached!
i stood on the stage and performed my speech.
my aim is to get at least a consulation prize.
AT THE END,I FAILED.

Honestly,i was depressed.
...
.......
.........EMO for about 1 1/2 hr
.............. treated my parents in an "ignoring" way
..................... (which made me feel sorry about tat)
..............ended up with telling the fact tat i was feeling down
.........my dad hugged me while my mom consulated me
......
...
i din cry obviously.
It doesnt EVEN worth a drop of tear!

back to my habit,
i investigated the factors of my failure with Scientic Methods:

1. I joined Science Camp during the holiday and it almost took most of my holidays.I din have sufficient to practise for it.BUT i hv never regretted about it.
2. Fussy me kept searching for a new script as Mun Kit is using "Patience".I wanted to use a different one just in case that the judge would get bored by our same scripts.Therefore,i wrote a script entitled "The Importance of Wetlands".Initially,i thought i could perform well since it is the theme of the Science Camp 09.it turned out that i was wrong!!!i should choose a friendlier title indeed of a Factual one.Munkit is right!
3. I din't have much practise. I wrote the script on Sunday and memorised it tat night.Still not familiar v it although i wrote it myself.hmm~besides,my foundation isnt tat strong.I was having a lot of Pronouncitation Mistakes like "coast" ,"vivid","herons"...luckily,Wynne lp and Zhaigen helped me a lot through this.Thx

Writing wasnt to make you sympathy for me,
neither telling you tat how much i effort i put on this,
Indeed, i din reli feel Jealous on Munkit's success,he did well in the contest.
On the other hand,I m just trying to calm down myself with ACCEPTABLE reasons.

Thanks to Wynne lp who has sacrificed her hours staying in school on Tuesday to train 3 of us on the pronounciation although she is exhausted after the 24oom running test;
Thanks to Zhai Gen who helped me through my silly pronounciation;
Thanks to Mun Kit and Queenie who are my greatest supporters and listeners throughout the whole contest;
Lastly,thanks for all my classmates and dearest friends from 5AZhong who supported me in the elocution.
(those who werent listening are not included.hahaha!)

CONGRATULATIONS,MUNKIT !!!
He has won the CONSULATION PRIZE!!!
As a newbie in elocution,his success is very significant.
Wish that he can do as well or better in his KDU debate next week

finally to Quennie:r u going to participate next year???
i think i wont if i couldnt find a Suitable script.
THREE failing experiences is enough for me.(blek~)
