JPA Sonata

1st movement
我兴奋却紧张地弹琴，担心出差错为之后的2nd movement 和3rd movement作准备，1st movement 可是整首曲子成功的关键。

Exposition
It has been a week i browsed eSILA to find out if i was eligible for JPA Program Ijazah Luar Negara.YUP,i was quite nervous while entering my password and IC number as required.POP~"Sukacita memaklumkan....Berkhidmat Untuk Negara" there comes my JPA notification letter for Interciew on 6/4/2010(Selasa) 8am.

Development
I was afraid that my General Knowledge were not enough to afford the tricky questions the JPA interviewers ask.therefore,on Sat,i went to ZhaiGen's house to do the two Ujians,which were phychology test.I spent 45 minutes approximately to finish it =P then,Zhai Gen taught me some HOT National and International Topics(Russian Bombing,China Mines incident,Najib's,MCA...etc.).WOW>>>>>i was totally terrified.I have NO IDEA on these type of "common sense" topics.AIks~What to do?Just tried my best to do research on these Scary topics lar.(but i didnt really find any info on them except on the night before today)

Recapitulation
Reached Pusat Konvensyen at Putrajaya,where the JPA Interview would be held.Thanks to my dear father!he went there on Sun to find the right ways to reach there.(爱的你好棒).It was only 7.35am but that place was crowded!a lot of dedicated parents and Formally-attired boys and girls walking and sitting,all seems nervous.Glanced at my attire,NOT Baju Kurung as advised in recom,but it was a Batik dress sewn by my 6th aunt specially for this event.8AM all the canditates went to the waiting section in front of their Panel.There,i saw SOMEONE UNEXPECTED BUT FAMILIAR...

2nd movement
我最不喜欢弹这一段，因为它节奏缓慢，需要投入多倍感情和效果，加上弹琴的技巧，才能弹出最美妙的音乐。这也是一首Sonata的精华所在，也最需用心经营的部分。

KHOO JUN KIT i saw his name at number 1 while i m number 3.Didnt ever think that i would be in the same group with friends!it was incredible.My blood pressure increased and heart pumped faster.He is such a good and experienced speaker,and he can always talk fluently.Surely,my chance to get JPA is greatly reduced now as i had a strong competitors.Kemunculan Jun Kit calmed me down and motivated me to talk and express myself during the interview.Thanks for accompainment in interview,dude~

oK,there comes the IMPORTANT section

1. What did the interviewers ask?

Firstly,we were asked to introduce ourselves one by one.We were required to tell about our own Family,Parents' occupations,number of siblings and which faculty did we apply.REMEMBER:in my case,the interviewers would say "Sila menggunakan Bahasa Melayu".When they mentioned on it,we MUST talk malay but if they didnt,we just "vomit" whatever in our mind in English or mainly rojak><>

As 5 of us who entered the panel are applying Medicine and Pharmacy,the questions they asked were around these areas.below is the list of questions i remembered:

• Apakah faktor gelombang kedua H1N1 menyebak di negara kita?apakah langkahnya?
• Adakah Vaccine penting?
• Apakan nama Vaccine?
• Apakah yang telah dilakukan oleh kerajaan untuk mengatasi masalah ini?
• Mengapakah rakyat Malaysia enggan menerima Vaccine H1N1 tatkala mereka diberikan secara percuma?
• Adakah kamu menerima Vaccine H1N1 sekiranya saya memberi kamu sekarang?
• Mengapakah kebanyakan doktor atau pharmacist tidak meneruskan pekerjaan di Hospital Kerajaan selepas government service selama 3 tahun?
• Apakah maksud Keterampilan?
• Mengapakah Komunikasi begitu penting bagi seorang pharmacist?
• Apakah yang telah dipaparkan dalam berita semalam tentang Gelombang Kedua H1N1?
• Adakah kamu ingin belajar di dalam negara jika kamu tidak dapat tawaran ke Luar Negara?
• Apakah pilihan kedua kamu jika kamu tidak dapat kursus yang diinginkan?

(bolded questions were the ones i answered)

Some of the questions were answered by every candidates but few of them were just opened to 2 or 3 candidates and they weill change question.But the questions were also related to the answer the previous candidate.for example,seorang doktor mestilah berterampilan.then,the next candidate were asked "Apakah maksud keterampilan?"

2. What are the areas of questions they usually ask?

I asked Yong Fei and Weng Yew who applied Pharmacy too.Yong fei said that the interviewers asked about Klinik Satu Malaysia and Intergriti;Weng yew's were Private health insurance......and mine is H1N1.My analysis result shows our questions mainly circulate on medicine and health areas,which are closely related to our applied kursus.However,there were some exceptions,some were asked on Rusuhan Kaum?!although mine were hard too,someone who perform the best is the one who knows all the facts and can speak fluently.Unfortunately,5 of us in the Panel 7 didnt read or watch Berita yesterday nite,and we were "shot" for that.

3. Is interview performance very important?

Before our almost 1 hour interview ended,the interviewer said that the interview performance werent that important.I doubted about it!Academic result plays the biggest role.they were just testing our ways to express ourselves.But in my own opinion,this really depends on your interviewers,kind or evil...ohya,an Indian who was in my group took Islam subject and His father is having a high position in Menteri Pertahanan.The interviewers seem like taking more concern on him...

3rd movement

我结束开启。我尽全力把所获所学弹得最好，传承整首歌的意义、旋律、背景、音符，让整首歌有个圆满的结束。最后一个琴键抬起，我微笑，我尽力了，结果就要靠运气和实力。

ok,these are my Precious Experiences and Analysis.For those candidates going for interviews soon,ALL THE BEST!I still have to announce that:FOR EVERY CASE,THERE WILL BE DIFFERENT SITUATION.therefore my advises here wont suit to your case perfectly or maybe mine is totally different to yours!who knows?Complete your clear folders with the original and salinan documents required and have a nice sleep(interviewers prefer interview a human instead of Pandas i think....).

For Ng Xue Min,

我在结束开启。我开启了另一个锁头，开辟了新一条道路。拿到JPA，欢天喜地，敲锣打鼓；拿不到，继续高三辛苦的学习生涯；不能tahan高三？6月出去(probability=2%)。

继续过我精彩的高三生活吧！星期六航天夏令营面试、一大堆平测、年中考、6月份教师节、练Piano、化学学会.........................希望不会再添加新活动给自己，忙坏了，连功课书都来不及读或做，因为太劳累了!听说6月份中选的会拿到JPA 通知信函。那我也不要抱太大希望，因为中的机率实在太小！高三保险还是要不断供，这样我才不会得过且过，希望越高失望越大。
